Heartland Feeds is a agricultural feed and crop seed provider headquartered in Ponoka Alberta. As a family owned and operated business they specialize in helping farmers improve herd production and livestock health.

As their business and services grew, so did their space demands, requiring them to add more building footprint. In 2023, Hawi Construction was awarded the design-build contract to expand their facility by 3000SF using pole shed framing system. Before the building could be erected, Hawi construction had to locate and reposition important infrastructure to its new location, without disrupting their operation.

 

Once complete, the addition was framed and trusses lifted in place with two crane picks. Once the frame was complete, final tie-ins and exterior wall and roof metal was installed along with a new interior concrete slab and bin pad.

Hawi Construction was proud to work on this project and was able to complete it on time and on budget.

The scope of work included but was not limited to:

• Design, code review and permits.

• Interior demo of existing exterior wall.

• Framing of 50x60 pole shed.

• Exterior metal tine and trim.

• Move existing overhead and mandoor.

• Relocated electrical main.

• New concrete slab, prep place and finish.

• New exterior bin pad, prep, place and finish.

• Small interior office and storge space insulated and heated.
