Hawi Construction was awarded an interior alternation contract with the Town of Carstairs for their emergency services building. Originally built decades ago, the building served as the community firehall up until 2022 when the fire department moved into their new facility. Although the structure of the old building was still sound, the interior was well used and there were some obvious items that required immediate attention such as leaky windows and ventilation. Deciding to break the renovations into a multi year procurement process, the town accepted bids for the construction of phase one. Hawi Construction was able to best understand the towns needs and were able to innovate ways to maximize their budget so they could get the best value. Given that the town had a tight deadline, Hawi Construction had to work diligently and efficiently and by doing so, were able to complete the scope of work on time and on budget allowing their emergency services department to move into a freshly renovated space without any disruptions.
